I am Dr. Rosemary LoGiudice. I and my current English Cocker Spaniels, Dunkin & Vito, welcome you to the website for my Veterinary Sports Medicine and Veterinary Physical Rehabilitation practice, ARTS (Animal Rehabilitation, Therapy, & Sports Medicine). Enhancing the quality of life for your dog or horse (or even your cat!) is my goal. By integrating the science and ART of veterinary medicine, I will work with you and with your primary care veterinarian to enhance and help to maintain your animal’s optimal athletic ability, diagnose mobility issues, enhance your animal’s recovery from orthopedic surgery, and/or strengthen your animal’s overall mobility and zest for life. Some of the services I offer include sports medicine physical evaluations and conditioning consultations and evaluations (“pre-habilitation”), physical rehabilitation consults and recommendations, as well as performing VSMT (“veterinary chiropractic”, which is based on receptor-based therapy and applied neurology after a thorough motion palpation evaluation is performed - which can help detect subtle joint motion deficits before they show up as clinical problems), Acupuncture, and Digital Thermal Imaging evaluations.

A 1981 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, I am a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (DACVSMR) (I am presently one of only two Board Certified Canine Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation veterinarians in Illinois outside of the U of IL College of Vet. Med.). I am also a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) (trained and certified through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute (CRI), (and I have been on faculty at CRI), Certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (CVSMT/ “animal chiropractic”) (trained and certified through the Healing Oasis Wellness Center where I am also a senior faculty member) as well as a Fellow of the College of Animal Chiropractors (CoAC), and a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) for horses, dogs and cats (trained and certified through the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine), with over 40 years experience as a veterinarian (DVM) and nearly 60 years of experience with horses, as well as with dogs and cats.

Teaching at the Healing Oasis Wellness Center and at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute is / has been rewarding both in bringing these modalities and knowledge to other professionals, and by continuing to be the best practitioner that I can possibly be.

I also served as the interim and initial director and visiting clinical assistant professor of the Chicago Center for Veterinary Medicine, a clinic operated by the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where I oversaw the initial development and opening of the practice.
